Marshall, North Carolina
St. John UCC sent a team in July 2025 to serve the community of Marshall, NC. This area was devastated by the floodwaters from Hurricane Helene in September 2024 where the French Broad River rose 26 ft.
Pastor Don, Dale, Chris, Allen, Nathan, Becky, Debbie and Kate worked in different areas of the town doing projects like laying brick, mulching, painting, removing mud, and clearing plaster from damaged walls. The amount of devastation and clean up that still needs done was overwhelming.
